This is the official homepage for the Icefire Linkshell, residing on the Gilgamesh server in Square-Enix's Final Fantasy XI MMORPG. I'm Pogle, the head of the LS. I play as a Tarutaru on various different jobs, most notably Black Mage, Red Mage, Warrior, Ninja, Beastmaster, and Ranger.

I started Icefire as an easy communication device, to notify interested parties of new garrison events being planned. While that is still one of the linkshell's primary purposes, the membership has grown nicely and expressed interest in other missions as well. We've organized several varieties of successful missions and events before the LS was born, and since have had several more. This website is a collection of useful information we've gathered concerning missions we've done, missions we will do, and generally some nice FFXI advice for anyone interested. Much of my information has been gleaned from various places in Allakhazam, and from the IGN forums, both of which I monitor. Event planning takes place in our own forums, linked in the menu above.

More recently, Icefire has taken a definite tilt towards the life of the Beastmaster. We welcome BSTs on Gilgamesh with open arms, having several veteran BSTs in the shell to ask for advice. We also encourage BST events such as BCNMs and all-BST Zilart and CoP missions. While we are far from a BST-exclusive shell, we have a large percentage of our members who play that job in some form or another, including myself. The power and flexibility of BSTs make them a wonderful addition to the shell.
