(AKA, How can I get in on this?)
Just ask. Or be asked, by a pearlsack holder. -Probationary linkpearls will be handed out if no one in the shell has issues with you from past experiences. We try to give people the benefit of the doubt whenever possible, but if you're a notorious jerk, we probably won't have much patience. -If a probationary member is coming into conflict with those in the shell, a vote will be held by the sackholders to determine if they should be given a second chance, or if their pearl should be broken. If 3 sackholders agree that the pearl should be broken, it will be done. Whether or not a pearl is broken, however, all attempts should be made to talk to the member and explain the issues, so they can attempt to moderate their behaviour. -If several linkshell members feels that a member is being excessively disruptive, actions will be taken post-haste; this might include a warning, or a temporarily broken pearl if thats what it takes to get someone's attention. Efforts should be made to explain to members why their behaviour is disruptive before breaking their pearl, even as a warning break. If your you feel your pearl was broken unfairly, contact me in game to discuss the matter. If you feel that I as the shellholder broke your pearl unfairly, contact Meabh, Beandip, Pawlom, or one of our other sackholders to discuss the matter, as it is possible I made a mistake, and they are the ones best equipped to point this out to me. -Probationary members should attend linkshell events to be seen and to prove they are a team player. Behaviour during linkshell cooperative events is a key factor in continued membership in the linkshell. -Linkpearls can be broken at any time by the shellholder (That would be me, Pogle)! Although I have seldom exercise this power, I'm not afraid to if someone gets way out of line. Pearlsacks can be promoted or demoted at any time at my discretion. Please don't ask to be a permanent sackholder, and especially don't nag. -Probationary members just become permanent members if they don't get kicked out. Theres no real process to it, except showing that you mesh well with the rest of the linkshell. Rules of admission can be relaxed at Pogle's discretion. |
