(AKA, Behave yourselves!)
Icefire does not condone the following behaviours: Members found to be engaging in such actvities, or other violations of the SquareEnix Rules of Conduct, risk being ejected from the shell or, at the least, forfeiting participation in a future LS event. Linkshell members are expected to present a good face to Vanadiel. I don't want saints, but don't act like a jerk. Be polite to your fellow players. Your actions reflect on the linkshell as a whole. Linkshell members are expected to be courteous to the rest of the Linkshell. Icefire members are a diverse group of all ages, genders, and nationalities, and while we're not quite G-rated, we're certainly not NC-17 (for those unfamiliar with the movie rating system in America, this means highly offensive stuff should be kept in tight reign). If someone is offended by something, apologize and don't do it around them again. If you are offended, just ask politely that it not be repeated. If you have recurring issues with someone, this needs to be brought to the attention of the sackholders or myself. If you see a general trend in behaviour that upsets you, please speak with me privately and we can see what adjustments can be made. Linkshell members are expected to contribute back to the linkshell. No freeloading. It's ok if you're low level and can't help much with things like AF; knowledge is just as much of an aid. Check an auction house price or see if a vendor near you carries something if you're in town and a LS member needs a hand. It's simple, it saves a lot of time, and it generates good feelings all around. Icefire does not have a one-linkpearl rule. Most of our members were part time members at some point or another, Icefire was originally started as a part time linkshell! So no worries there. In linkshell events, follow orders. The event coordinator is the primary controller of the event, and makes the decisions as to who is in what group, and what the order of battle will be. There can and will be secondary coordinators to assist in this, often as the party leaders in an alliance. Follow orders when given, and most importantly don't spam the chat lines when quiet is requested for explaining rules. Linkshell members are expected to monitor the forums and the website for announcements concerning events, new rules, and other linkshell business. Ignorance is not an excuse; if it's on the site, paricipating members are expected to have read it before the event takes place. Icefire is a primarily English language linkshell. We have members from across the world, and I'm pretty sure many of them are multi-lingual. So it's fine to speak stuff besides English. Just bear in mind most of us won't understand you, and might make snarky comments (all in good fun, nothing offensive!). We also have a large contingent of Canadians, so expect the linkshell to be fairly inactive during hockey season (kidding!) |
