Ha! I have a place to put quotes I find funny. And there’s nothing you can do about it!
“I have an MCSE cert, that doesn’t mean I get together with steve balmer on the weekends and shoot penguins.”
— robbiethefett, in this Slashdot article concerning the RIAA and the University of Washington.
Also, this gem:
“The issue with the RIAA is not that they’re playing whack-a-mole with a big hammer. The issue is that their aim is bad and when they’ve stunned an innocent rabbit or squirrel they keep on hitting until it’s a road-waffle.”
—Ungrounded Lightning
In other news, Michele’s and my (what exactly is the proper grammar here? I’m always fuzzy on that) static party in FFXI finally managed to meet again. Its a group of 6 of us that tries to play every Tuesday evening, but manages maybe once a month if we’re lucky. Its a great group, we have a lot of fun chatting (sometimes on Teamspeak so we don’t have to type so much). It was nice after the stress of the move to relax and chat with them again, but Michele and I were both so tired that we had to end it early and get some sleep.
I also have some new pain meds for my suspected-Crohn’s pain. This stuff is a lot more potent, it made me rather drowsy and somewhat loopy. I was also nauseous again for a while, and still in some pain, but I managed to fall asleep and not be woken by either symptom thankfully. I need to figure out what is making me react so badly each evening after work. I’m hoping it was the Cheerios I was eating throughout the day, because that’s something I can avoid eating for the time being; but I need to find something I can eat that doesn’t cause severe symptom flares in the evening, or run the risk of malnutrition. Its a highly annoying line to try and walk, and so far I’m not having much luck with it.
That’s all for now folks! Another day at the office, more struggling to meet my deadlines, and then an evening hopefully free of pain and nausea. Til I find another amusing quote, farewell.
