So, I go to bed last night. Meabh is still sitting in the office fiddling with stuff. Suddenly she walks in and says something to a mostly-asleep pogle about having a present for me. And she plops some shadowy shape down next to me on the ottoman, and runs away.

A more suspicious person would have feared foul play, but I merely groped around for the flashlight I keep nearby (take note, this lack of caution may some day conspire to be my downfall when Meabh gets tired of me, you heard it here first!), and managed to find right about the same time she returned with a flashlight as well. And I beheld what I immediately dubbed Cyclopskitty for the first time.

I called it that, because in my mostly comatose state of mind, the nose really did appear to be one evil eye. Especially when I sat it on my chest staring me down, about 3 inches from my nose. Very cute though, and I’m pondering whether to set it on my desk at work or on my desk at home. Also, I forsee several friends and family members wanting their own monster-knit kitties in the future now.
