So, apparently Cyclopskitty is a popular figure, having evoked many squeals of “Its sooooo cuuuuute” in varying levels of squeaky-voicedness. I henceforth dub him Ceekay for short.
And as my Mindtwin noted yesterday, I really needed a turtle version. And when I got home (bearing my own gift for Meabh, as I’ll note shortly, there was something on the couch awaiting me. Lo! May I introduce Teenyturtle, or T-squared for short.
The behind shot is there simply to illustrate why there was a semi-adoring “It has a leetle tail!” shout from me upon closer examination.
And, for my counter-gift, may I present the chair I got yesterday. Some of you may recognize it, as I already owned one. However, once Meabh sat in mine, I immediately lost possession. So, naturally, when I got myself a new one, I got my old chair back, and she now has the new one.
I had to go thru some hassle at K-Mart to get it, as the only one out in the store was beat up extremely badly; a lower side of the box was caved in with numerous holes, and the tape job looked like it had been opened and resealed. When I finally managed to find a sales consultant who wasn’t busy (there were many around, but all assisting others), they were more than happy to get one from the back for me. And once I paid for it and began to make my way out, I had to turn down no less than 5 offers of sales associates to help me load it in my truck, then one just didn’t bother offering and helped anyways. The customer service was simply exceptional, and I’m hoping to make a point of hitting them over Walmart when I can simply as a recompense for a pleasant shopping experience.
I also got a new beard trimmer, this time a philips brand, to replace my aging and ailing remington. Got to try it this morning, was pretty nice. We’ll see if it withstands the rigors of time, and the ravages of my chin fuzz.
