Second visit the the Rheumatologist today. We both agreed that the thumb braces were a failure, but he still cannot see any swelling in my joints. I’ve been put on two weeks of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (Celebrex) to see if it helps, and if it does I have a prescription to continue on it. If this doesn’t help, my case will probably be handed over to the orthopedic surgeons where I’ll probably go through another round of braces, perhaps cortisone injections into my wrists, and possibly surgery if nothing helps.
I *probably* have Carpal Tunnel, but we have to go through all the steps before that’ll be official. I’m sick of having gimpy wrists and hands; you’d not believe how much you use your hands until it hurts to do so. 🙁

“Why are you not seizing the boy!?”
“I have a big head, and little arms!”
You’ve seen that, right? >.>
Anyway, that sucks D:
Hope they can find a solution that will help you out ^^
That would be the inspiration and my favorite scene in Meet the Robinsons. 😀
I still have not seen that movie, but friends of mine quote that ALL THE TIME.
That said- what you said about your hands is true about just about every muscle group in your upper body. Between 15 and 17 I dislocated my shoulder 4 time and then had surgery to repair it, and you wouldn’t believe how much those muscles are part of your balance when you walk/lean/reach, not to mention how many nerves are tied from shoulder to finger tip and back again.
