I don’t remember seeing that AK rocker at your place in MD; are those things comfortable?
I’ve never been able to sit in one, but they seem rather devoid of padding…
Also, did he actually make it all the way out just by climbing the bars, or is this one of his jumping attempts?
We should have had that rocker when you visited, I know we’ve had it for nearly 2 years or so. And yes, it is actually very comfortable. Unfortunately, only Best Buy was carrying it and they no longer have that exact model (we had intended to get a second one).
The igloo bed (blue plastic thing they sleep in) was close to the wall. Jack Jack figured out that grabbing middle support bars let him get his feet up on the edge of the igloo, which was all of the boost he needed to get up the rest of the way. He’s used the food bowl to do that before, too (we had to switch to a shorter one) and everything else but the litter boxes are kept away from the walls of the cage. If we leave the ferrets in the playpen when we go out, the standard thing to say upon arriving back home is “Okay, where’s Jack Jack?” 😛
The rocker is quite comfortable. It has a thin layer of padding, but reclines decently and is even big enough to hold me, which is nice. I would sometimes toss a folded towel in the base of the seat if I was planning on gaming a long time and wanted to pad my posterior.
