2010, in no particular order:

Yay!

  • Full employment for me, and in a position I’m enjoying a lot.
  • Gained a ferret (Pepper @ the cousins).
  • Gained 2 green tree frogs: Houdini & Hwinn.
  • No serious family crisis (losing Aunt Shirley was expected).
  • Major, major game year thanks to Steam & Gog. Go check them out!
  • Pogle is an excellent cook and practices often. My poor waistline.
  • Lots of tech this year. Gleeeeeeee.
  • An entire month of 7 ferrets. My blankets were very popular. Also, my poor toes.
  • Amy liked her supplemental wedding photos. 🙂

Boo!

  • Still only contract work for pogle.
  • Lost Aunt Shirley. 🙁
  • Lost Hercules & Molly (family dogs).
  • Pogle’s Crohn’s meds aren’t working (Prednisone works, but gets double-boos for its side effects.)
  • Lost the green tree frog that hitchhiked into pogle’s work. Sorry little dude (somewhat fondly named Dratsab Ettil for the 3 days he was alive). 🙁
  • Totally late on baby blanket for Noah. He might get it before he’s one. >.>
  • We took forever getting The Chubby Ferret up and going. Sorry guys.
  • Tag (our favorite family cat) is having health issues, but so far she’s at least stable.
  • Haven’t been back to Indiana for ages.
  • The house getting broken into and robbed.
  • Our 4th of July special guest: the young girl who took the corner too quick, flipped into my neighbor’s fence, and stopped 5 inches from my 1 year old car’s bumper. She was fine.
  • Net Neutrality. We’re all screwed.

Meh.

  • Joined Facebook, but still refuse to use it fully due to privacy concerns. Beware, BEWARE, BEWARE! (Of Heffalumps and Woozles, of course.)
  • Dear eBooks: “Sort your *bleep*ing life out, mate!” (A quote from Shaun of the Dead).

Goals for 2011

Michele:

  • Play more video games (and finish them).
  • Review every book I read (over at my blog or on goodreads).
  • Watch & review more movies (I’ve barely watched any films this year); those reviews will be here, as usual.
  • Ferret photos 5 days a week, at least, over at The Chubby Ferret.
  • Visit Indiana.
  • Try to not have the shaggiest yard on the block (this would be easier if I had a shed & riding lawn mower, but we’ll see).
  • Grow more in the garden, including a full herb garden.

Pogle

  • Finally figure out how to replicate his fantastic hamburger recipe.
  • Post more recipes on the blog!
