So…Tired…
At 100+ boxes so far, and that’s NOT counting my book collection. Finished up most of the kitchen today; just need to finish packing leftover food from this weekend, then clean the fridge, stove, cabinets, and floor. After that, the only rooms left unpacked/uncleaned are the office and two bathrooms. So tired. 🙁

Fun times in cleaning the kitchen…
Michele walks in a moment ago and says the following: “I think its been a long time since I mopped. My Grab-It wet wipes are completely dry.” And she insists that I mention she’s also listening to really emo music. She seems to think that’ll make this funnier. I leave that call up to you.

Yay, internets! And other stuffs
We have incoming internets! Time-Warner originally said they couldn't even schedule our install due to not having our new house address in their records. Nevermind that every house around us has service, they still had to send a tech out to confirm that we were in range of the base station hookup and all that. …

New website!
Well…Michele and I talked it over, and decided since my old website wasn’t really doing much anyways, we might as well do something new. Our hope is to create a joint blog on this location, in hopes that between the two of us updates might happen every now and then, at least once our move…

Strange and Terrible Things
She walked quickly through the darkness with the frank stride of someone who was at least certain that the forest, on this damp and windy night, contained strange and terrible things and she was it. Regarding Granny Weatherwax in Wyrd Sisters, by Terry Pratchett

The Captain Samuel Vimes “Boots” Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness
The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend less money. Take boots, for example. He earned thirty-eight dollars a month plus allowances. A really good pair of leather boots cost fifty dollars. But an affordable pair of boots, which were sort of OK for a season or…

Humanity in the proper perspective
What I love best about the land here? It puts humanity in the proper perspective. I love the sense that we’re a bunch of fleas arguing about who owns the dog. http://womanontheverge.typepad.com/fibertribe/2006/05/uoughtah_been_t.html

Daughters
Irini performed the final part for all of us: stepped forward, knelt on the pavement, and, holding her skirt decent in the wind, bent and kissed Grandma’s forehead. It seemed only right–she was the one who knew Grandma best, these last days. It’s the role of daughters to move ever away from their mothers (and…
